Our Programme

This programme has been specifically designed to lower the overall injury rate of the team, optimise performance and improve their generally conditioning. It is strongly encouraged at this age to start introducing strength and functional movements and addressing joint and muscular flexibility to prevent longer-term issues. These small changes that can be added to training sessions will benefit the whole team. There are a few different options we offer:

  • Individual screening for each player in the team: This can be done in the clinic or at the training session. Discounted rates will be available for whole team participation.

  • Individual screening for players: as required on a 1:1 basis

  • Team teaching: This is for both coaches and players. We will come and take you through a group training session, providing you a long term training plan consisting of the best evidence-based exercises to prevent the common injuries above. We will also take the team through optimal warm-up programmes and dynamic mobility, which can be carried out before training and games.

  • Coach teaching: This will involve a power point presentation of common injuries, what to look out for, how to prevent and practical teaching of the best evidence-based exercises.

Price is available upon request, depending on travel distance, players and other factors.

Group Football Screening

We now offer football injury prevention screenings & programmes for younger athlete teams. Around 13/14 and onwards, young adults start to pick up more injuries.

Injuries commonly seen at this age, all of which can address are:

 

  • Hamstring sprains

  • Groin sprains

  • Knee pain

  • Growing pain’ such as Osgood Schlatters and Sever’s disease.
