Helen O'Hara
Running Coach & Personal Trainer
Bio
Helen is a Personal Trainer and Running coach who has been working with a broad range of clients since starting as a coach in 2008. She specialises in training all runners from beginners to ultra marathon distance by co-ordinating training plans to fit the busiest of lives. While running is the key element for these clients, she ensures the balance of training, nutrition and recovery is met by looking at her clients' life as a whole. Her role as a Personal Trainer also allows her to build her client's strength to allow the body to support those miles in training. In addition to running, Helen also specialises in female fitness.
Since having her children she has focussed on pregnancy and postnatal exercise, through group exercise and private 1:2:1 sessions which focus on building a new mum's strength safely while they balance their new lives caring for their baby. More recently Helen has begun working with the perimenopausal and menopausal demographic, a subject she feels really passionate about due to her own experiences and that of many of her clients. She recently completed a course by Dr Stacy Sims – Menopause 2.0 which means she can offer a wide range of options and advice for women in exercise, strength and fitness as well as stress management and nutrition.
